Carrying Clouds
Return to yourself,
each other,
and the earth we come from.
Plant medicines are a way of listening differently. They offer a somatic, collective path back to our own intelligence. I help people prepare for expanded states, integrate their experiences, and build reciprocal relationships with nature's intelligence. Return to yourself, each other, and the earth we come from.
Meet your facilitator
Yana works with people from various life experiences to prepare for and integrate experiences beyond ordinary consciousness. Yana has been working with plant medicines and psychedelics personally for 30 years, and more than 11 in the Shipibo-Konibo lineage. Plants are a kind of telephone — connecting you to yourself, to your ancestors, and to the wider web of existence. Through individual and group work, Yana accompanies your connection to the intelligence of plants.
Yana's approach is collaborative and consensual, trusting the innate wisdom of your body and plant allies to gently bring previously inaccessible material into awareness. An organizer turned practitioner, Yana's work isn't just focused on individual healing — it's work that reconnects you with your own truths instead of the colonial scripts we've inherited. It builds alignment and reciprocity on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels, seeding collective liberation.

In the words of my journeyers
Yana has a gift for holding space in a way that creates safety, sacredness, and the potential for transformation. They show an ever-deepening respect and relationship with the sacred medicines and the traditions that accompany them. Yana's supportive presence and gentle guidance inspires trust and openness.
— B
Yana's wisdom, and slow steady dedication within specific lineages (Shipibo, vipassana) is rare to find. After decades of work as a client, Yana demonstrates great listening, learning, deep facility in cross-cultural relationships, and somatic understandings of trauma work. I've been struck by how much Yana does their own work and builds webs of support as they hold space for others' processes.
— P
I felt profoundly cared for, thoughtful, safe, skilled, gentle, rigorously held in this space. I facilitate groups, and this is one of the best facilitated spaces I've ever been in.
— A
The word transcendent has been the main adjective used in describing this weekend.
— Z
I had expected to suffer, to struggle, in order to gain a sense of "profound movement" in the area of grief — and yet what I found was that the beauty and joy taught me more than what I had already been doing around this area.

FAQs

Do I need experience with plant medicine?
No. Many people come to an integration guide or facilitator for support in exploring their first journey with plant medicine or psychedelics. I offer preparation and integration for journeys — whether you're exploring a retreat overseas, are curious about traditional Shipibo medicine systems, or want to create an intentional and safer set & setting for your explorations. Preparation and integration information is for educational purposes only; I do not endorse any unlawful use of any substances.
What is working with you individually like?
First, we'll have a free 45-minute consultation call to share what you're seeking at this point in your healing journey, and learn more about each other. I find that three virtual preparation calls are usually sufficient to create an intentional space to more safely explore your intention — comprehensive groundwork to ready the mind, body, and spirit to receive, plus support with resourcing, ritual components, and what to have on hand. Afterwards, we'll be together for three virtual integration sessions as you begin to embody the wisdom and teachings you received, and move into the ceremony of life. Extended integration sessions are available for clients dedicated to longer work.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours notice for cancellation of preparation and integration sessions for a full refund, and 1 week's notice for cancellation of day-long meditation sessions.
Do you offer sliding scale?
Yes. Preparation and integration sessions: $85 (partially supported by mutual aid) · $120 (my hourly rate) · $185 (supports someone else's collective healing). Day-long meditation packages slide from $1100–2900. All group retreats offer sliding-scale options, which vary by retreat — each retreat posts its fee scale.
Are sessions in person or virtual?
All preparation and integration sessions are virtual, unless otherwise agreed upon. Day-long somatic sessions are in person. Dietas with Maestra Ynes and family are in person at their center in Pucallpa, Perú.
What is Hakomi?
Hakomi is a mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapeutic modality founded on principles of nonviolence, mind-body wholeness, loving kindness, and organicity — the being's natural tendency to unfold towards wholeness. I find it particularly skillful and gently powerful for exploring our own internal experience, especially as we touch into increased sensitivity and awareness.
